HISTORY:

In 1973, Robert Taylor went to work for E.J. Plot Realty in Elyria, Ohio. In 1976 he got his broker's license and purchased his current main office building on North Ridge Road in Lorain, Ohio and opened Robert Taylor Realty. In 1983 he worked for John Hancock Property and Casualty. He worked for John Hancock until 1988, when he started Robert Taylor Insurance Agency and signed with Progressive Insurance. In 2000 he joined the National Safety Council and started Robert Taylor Remedial Driving School.

From our beginning in Lorain, we have enjoyed a steady growth over the years. Through the practical efforts of our agency staff, we have become one of the largest agencies in the area. We have earned a reputation for professionalism due to the special attention given to the needs, requirements, and details of our customers. We now have three office locations (two in Lorain, one in Elyria) which also specialize in Driver's License Reinstatement and Remedial Driving Courses.

Our insurance agency and realty company became incorporated in 2004 as Robert Taylor Companies, Inc.
